How cookies work on Scaup
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a site. Scaup uses them for two things only: keeping you logged in, and understanding how people use the product so we can make it better.
Beyond cookies, search engines and AI tools like ChatGPT also need ways to discover and understand your site content. If you want your website visible to AI search and AI-powered answers, consider setting up an llms.txt file -- a plain-text file that tells AI crawlers what your site is about and what pages matter. For a complete strategy on getting your site into ChatGPT and other AI answers, see our guide on AI search visibility. If you're also thinking about how AI fits into your SEO workflow, our overview of automated SEO covers how the technology works and what results you can realistically expect. If you're building a SaaS and want to grow organic traffic without hiring an agency, our guide to SEO for SaaS founders walks through a strategy that fits a founder's schedule. If you're weighing which SEO tool to use, our AI SEO tool comparison breaks down how Scaup stacks up against Ahrefs, Semrush, and Surfer for SaaS founders and indie hackers. If Semrush feels too expensive for a one-person team, our guide to Semrush alternatives for small teams and solo founders covers cheaper options that cover the basics without the enterprise price tag.
We don't use cookies to serve ads, build profiles, or share your data with third parties. The analytics data we collect through Mixpanel is aggregated and anonymous. It tells us things like "the pricing page gets a lot of visits" or "most users click the approve button within 10 seconds" -- nothing tied to you personally.
Cookie duration
Authentication cookies set by Convex Auth persist for the duration of your session and are cleared when you sign out. If you stay signed in, these cookies are renewed automatically so you don't have to log in every time you open the app.
Analytics cookies set by Mixpanel are persistent cookies. They help us recognize returning users at an aggregate level so we can see retention trends. They don't store personal information.
