How Scaup Works on Wix

Last updated: August 2026

What Scaup does on your Wix site

After you connect your Wix site, Scaup builds a monthly growth plan and runs improvements on a daily schedule. The Wix REST API allows Scaup to work with blog content specifically:

  • Update blog post titles and meta descriptions, so your posts are easier to find on Google.
  • Publish new blog posts with full content, title, and SEO description. Posts go live immediately.

The Wix REST API does not allow editing static page content or metadata (home page, service pages, etc.) — only blog posts. This is a Wix platform limitation, not a Scaup one.

How Scaup connects

Scaup connects through the official Wix app installation flow. During setup, you are redirected to Wix to approve Scaup's access. Once approved, Scaup uses OAuth tokens — there is no password to copy, and you can revoke access at any time from your Wix dashboard.

How changes go live

Changes Scaup makes to blog posts go live immediately. Wix does not require a separate publish step for blog post edits and new posts.

Requirements

  • The Wix Blog app must be installed on your site. Scaup checks for this at connect time and shows a prompt if it is not installed. You can add it from your Wix App Market for free.
  • A paid Scaup subscription is required to use the improvement engine.
  • New blog post volume depends on your Wix plan: up to 4 posts per month on Wix Starter, up to 8 per month on Business and above.

What Scaup does not do

  • Edit static pages (home, about, services, etc.) — Wix does not expose these via the REST API.
  • Change your site's design, theme, or layout.
  • Delete or archive any blog posts.
  • Inject any tracking scripts, advertising code, or third-party services.
  • Access your Wix account settings or billing.

Disconnecting Scaup

To revoke Scaup's access, open your Wix dashboard, go to Settings → Authorized Apps, and remove Scaup. You can also disconnect from within the Scaup dashboard under Site Settings.

Revoking access stops all future changes. It does not undo changes that have already been published.
